XD-Picture CardsMemory Cards for Fuji and Olympus Digital Cameras

The XD-Picture card is a memory card format that is predominantly used in Fuji and Olympus cameras. XD used to stand for Extreme Digital but this term is not used as much these days. XD-Picture cards were introduced to the market in 2002 and were developed jointly by Fuji and Olympus. They measure 25mm x 20mm x 1.7mm and are one of the smaller memory cards used in digital cameras. Current capacities are 1GB and 2GB. The XD-Picture card memory format is slowly being discontinued by both Olympus and Fuji. The reason for this is that this format has a 2GB limit. All new Fuji and Olympus digital cameras now use SDHC memory cards which are available in up to 32GB capacities. We now only stock the Olympus XD-Picture cards as the Fuji XD memory cards have already been discontinued. We will be holding stock of this format for as long as possible as we appreciate that there are a lot of Olympus and Fuji camera owners in the UK that will be looking to upgrade their XD-Picture card compatible device.
