SDXC is the new exciting format for digital memory cards with the potential for an outstanding 2TB capacity memory card. SDXC memory cards look like SD cards but are only be compatible with devices that support the new SD 3.0 SDXC format. SDXC memory cards offer very high transfer speed which is ideal for HD video recording in the latest digital cameras and camcorders. The transfer speeds expected for the new SDXC cards will also be increasing. There is the possibility of transfer speeds up to 300mbp/s which is around 10X faster than the current limits. Capacities for this new SDXC memory card format start at 48GB and 64GB with larger capacities being introduced at later stages.
